Part 6Wildlife Panic


With the morning sun shining brightly in the sky, Sonic woke up with a yawn as he stretched his blue furred body and smiled as he saw his beloved shadow sleep peacefully. Sonic gave a small lick on Shadow's cheek and quietly left the den as he headed into the forest to do business.

Now what business you may ask? Well, his business was finding the right tree to mark his scent on-or in other words, peeing on the tree. After finding the perfect tree to scent on, Sonic lifted his leg, aimed at the tree and let nature take its course as a long trickling sound echoed about.

Still letting his yellow urine out, Sonic's ears perked up to hear shuffling noises coming from the bushed ahead. The blue blur finished peeing as he bared his fangs; his quills were standing up and growled ferociously. The bushed rustle more and more until a two-tailed fox, a bat, a crocodile, a bee, a chameleon, an echidna, a green, magenta and pink hedgehog came up to him with relief and smiles.

"Sonic, we were so worried about you." Amy said. "Come and give your bro a hug Sonic." Manic smiled, but Sonic still growled. "Is something wrong Sonic?" Sonia asked.

Sonic barked loudly which scared most of them as he ran off into the jaguar territory to warn the others of these strange two-legged animal species he saw-not realizing they were his friends.

"Wh-what just happened?" Charmy asked in confusion. "I feared this would happen," Tails said, "Whatever Vincent and Randal did to Sonic…well, he doesn't seem to recognize us at all. In fact, he acted more like a wild animal." "Then we must take them down by force." Knuckles said. "Let's move before they leave again." Espio said.

Sonic barked and barked loudly as the jaguars glared at him in annoyance and irritation-Shadow too came out of the den to see what the whole deal was about, but his eyes widened when he heard that strange creatures were heading this way. All the female jaguars panicked about while the males sharpened their claws and got ready for the biggest hunt of their lives.

"Sonic!" "Sonic?" "Where are you?"

The jaguars quickly hid in the shadows and got into position while Sonic got low and was ready to bite. Soon, Sonic's friends finally came into view-hissing and growling the jaguars came forward to strike when the wolf pack charged in and attacked the jaguars!
Wolves vs. Jaguars-a fearsome battle with claws, fangs, paws, growls, hisses and howls!

As the wolves and jaguars continued to battle, a sound of loud thunder crashed and echoed in the dark, grey, clouded sky-lightning flashed down from every direction as it darkened the mod between the two predators. As the electrifying lightning flashed some more, the flash of lightning struck down at a tree, causing the plant to burst into flames. All animals of the jungle panicked as the flames began to spread-even the wolves and jaguars stopped fighting and ran for their lives!

Sonic immediately ran into the den to get the food he had in their-big mistake! Shadow grabs Sonic's arm with his teeth and tried to pull him out, saying that they had to leave before the flames consumed them! Unfortunately, a large tree fell right at the entrance of the den, blocking their only way of escape!

"Grr…this tree trunk is too thick!" Tails said. "Not for us," Rouge, Knuckles, Amy and Vector said, "Stand back and watch." "Hurry!" Charmy said.

Vector tackling at the center of the large tree, Knuckles using his powerful punches, Rouge kicking hard, and Amy hammering to the max-they were all desperately trying to get Sonic and Shadow out of the den before it was too late! Sonic whimpered and coughed as the smoke began to fill the den, Shadow nuzzled close to Sonic just incase if they never make it out. As more smoke began to fill the room, Sonic and Shadow coughed and gagged-and they last thing they saw, was an spiked fist appeared in the hole of the tree and everything went black.
