The Perfect Date


At the Casino Nights Restaurant and sitting at a booth for four, Shadow and Sonic the Hedgehog were both waiting on their dates, Amy and Rouge, to arrive. The girls said to meet them here at exactly 6:00pm-it was now 6:30 pm and their dates still haven't arrived.

"I swear that if they don't come this instant I will just go straight home and we can forget this stupid dinner!" Shadow growled. "Now Shadow at least try to be patient," Sonic said, "They will come." "I could have just made them T.V dinner instead." Shadow grumbled. "Why don't you call them?" Sonic asked. "Don't you think I tried that?" Shadow said, "It keeps getting a busy signal-I can't contact them." "Well, I guess we can eat while we wait." Sonic said. "Hello," the waiter said as he came up to them, "What would you like?" "I would like the ribs with some rice please and a water to drink." Sonic answered. "I would like the steak, medium-well, with a baked potato and a salad along with a soda to drink." Shadow answered. "Okay, your orders will be here shortly." The waiter said as he left.

Sonic and Shadow noticed the silent air that was echoing around their table-they felt it would be right if they began a conversation while they waited for their food.  Besides, they felt a little be uncomfortable staring at each other…especially if Sonic was the one who was slightly blushing.

"So," Shadow said, "How is the hero business going?" "Tough and exciting as usual," Sonic replied, "How about you and the G.U.N?" "The Commander continues to be hard-headed, but I can manage with it." Shadow said. "That's good," Sonic said, "At least he's not doing anything bad." "Well if you consider him 'accidentally' smacking me with the side of his gun nothing." Shadow said. "Oh you poor thing!" Sonic said. "Since when did you care when I get hurt?" Shadow asked. "Umm…uh…" Sonic stuttered.

The blue blur began to think why was he so concerned-I mean, of course any hero would be concerned of a fellow friend or rival, but this was different. This feeling of concern was coming from his heart-it wasn't pity, it was love towards Shadow. Sonic shook his head, not believing that he could be in love with a guy! I mean was it possible?

"So, how long have you and Amy been going out?" Shadow asked. "For a few weeks so far, but I just can't feel any magic between us," Sonic said, "I mean I do like her, but not love her you know. Anyways, what about you?" "Rouge and I aren't that romantic type," Shadow said, "We're more just hanging out and I just can't see anything between us." "Yeah," Sonic said, "I kinda wish I could find the one who actually loves me for me." "Well what if this person is right in front of your nose?" Shadow asked. "Huh?" Sonic said confused, "What do you me-"

Before Sonic could finish his sentence, Shadow kissed Sonic tenderly on the lips-all people within the restaurant gasped in shock, but Shadow didn't care and neither did Sonic. They felt so much passion and so much love that it was hard for them to disconnect-about after a few more minutes, Sonic and Shadow stopped kissing and looked into each other's eyes with love burning inside them.

"Sonic, god I love you so much." Shadow said. "Shadow, I love you too," Sonic said, "I
m sorry I didn't tell you…I was just so afraid you would think I'm crazy or…or…" "It's okay Sonic," Shadow smiled, "I was a bit afraid myself." "You were?" Sonic asked. "Yes," Shadow said, "But no more talking. Let's kiss again." "Okay." Sonic smiled. "SONIC! SHADOW!"

The two male hedgehogs turned their heads and saw an enraged pink hedgehog and an angry female bat looking right at them! Shadow and Sonic gulped as fear began to rise in the pit of their stomachs-they began to think of the brutal pain the girls will bring upon them.

"I cannot believe this!" Amy shouted, "How dare you kiss him! You are on a date with me!" "Yeah Shadow." Rouge hissed. "I'm sorry Rouge," Shadow said, "But I love Sonic…not you." "WHAT?!" Rouge shouted. "Me too Ames…Shadow and I will forever be together," Sonic said, "Amy…there was never any magic between us…I'm sorry." "Hmph…whatever," Amy huffed, "I don't even like men who are gay." "Let's go Amy." Rouge said. Shadow watched Amy and Rouge leave and said, "Such a shame to go to say things that low you know." "Yeah," Sonic said, "So…you want to continue the dinner?" "I have a better idea." Shadow smirked.

Leaving a 10 dollar tip on the table, Shadow held Sonic close to him and shouted a loud Chaos Control! They both warped back to his house and Shadow immediately goes into the bedroom-and let me tell you this…for the rest of Sonic and Shadow's night, their pleasurable moments was the best thing ever (even the neighbors heard their moaning!)-it comes to show that all love can found in perfect situations.
