Chapter OneEscape

Inside a marbled castle is where Queen Silvia and King Ryan reside along with their 3 sons: Prince Shadow, Prince Sonic, and Prince Silver. Prince Shadow is a black hedgehog with red streaks on his quills, arms and legs-he was the oldest (4 years old) of his brothers, has crimson eyes and was the wisest…Prince Sonic is a blue hedgehog with peach on his muzzle, inner ears, arms and chest-he was the second oldest (3 years old) of his two brothers, has emerald eyes and is the most protective…and Prince Silver is a grayish-white hedgehog with a strange hairdo style on his head-he is the youngest (2 years old), has topaz colored eyes, cries and easily gets scared.

All 3 of these hedgehog were a blessing to Queen Silvia and King Ryan…the 3 hedgehogs were also marked with special gifts; Sonic's super speed, Shadow's chaos abilities and Silver's telekinetic powers. These 3 brothers has a destiny in their lives that they will soon find out and fulfill…a destiny that requires the brothers' cooperation.

"Mommy," Sonic said, "When we get bigger, will we rule this place like you?" "Oh yes sweetie," Silvia answered, "Once we pass on, it will be your job and responsibility to rule the kingdom and watch over the people." "Sounds hard." Shadow said. "Well it might be a bit hard at first," Ryan said, "But I know you three will be able to handle it." "Mama!" Silver said as he held his arms up. "Aww hello my little Silver," Silvia said as she picked him up, "Having fun are we?" "Aba!" Silver nodded. "That's good to hear." Silvia smiled as she nuzzled Silver. KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK! "Open up or we will come in by force!" "I like to see them try!" Sonic said confidently. "Sonic and Shadow, take Silver and go upstairs now." Ryan said. "Why?" Shadow asked as he held Silver. "This is not the time to be asking questions." Ryan said. "But daddy! We can take them!" Sonic said. "Please do as I say." Ryan begged. "Come on Sonic." Shadow said as the 3 of them went upstairs. "It's them isn't it?" Silvia whispered. Ryan sighed, "Yes it is."

The doors swung open as dark demons crawled in and surrounded the King and Queen-all chuckled evilly as their dark leader slithered in, releasing a dark aura into the air. This leader of darkness was the worst creature that have ever been created…IT had such a sinister laugh that made chills shiver down your spine, a breath so noxious that it can knock out an entire army, and a dark aura emitted from it, making night a time to fear.

"It's good to see you both again." "Abyss…" Ryan growled, "How did u escape from that dimension?!" "That's for me to know and for you to NEVER find out," Abyss said, "Besides, I'm here to take your children." "You'll never lay a hand on them!" Silvia growled. "Oh I will and they will be mine," Abyss said, "Cause you see, they are the keys to unlocking a power that has been kept away hundreds or thousands of years ago…and I plan to use that power to turn every living thing into my dark slaves." "You'll have to go through us first!" Ryan hissed. "Then shall be it," Abyss said, "ATTACK MY DARK DEMONS!" "GRAAGH!" the dark demons roared as they lunged at the King and Queen.

Upstairs and inside the playroom was filled with many different kinds of toys, books and other fun thing-but in the corner of the playroom was where the 3 hedgehogs huddled close to each other, scared and nervous on having sounds of loud roaring…worried whether the roaring might reach them.

"B-Bwother." Silver said frightened as he shook and cuddled in Shadow's fur. "Shh…it's okay Silver," Shadow said soothingly, "Sonic and I are right here for ya." "Yeah Silver," Sonic said, "We will protect ya." "Kids…hide and seek time is over…"

A dark mist seeped through the cracks and holes in the walls-making the colorful room turn pitch black…only to see pairs of yellow and red eyes staring right back at them with hints of evil uses.

"As long as you cooperate, we won't have to use brutal force," Abyss said, "Now come with us." "NO!" Shadow and Sonic shouted as they grabbed Silver and spun about. "STOP THOSE BRATS!" Abyss commanded.

Shadow and Sonic continuously ran around the room, increasing their speed by each second! As they continued to go faster, the dark demons screamed as the kids strong speed wind current began to twirl them around like a fearsome tornado! Abyss grew angrier by the minute, and smirked as he tried to claw them out; unfortunately, by doing so, Shadow and Sonic tripped as the strong force of their wind blew them out the window and towards the city where they had no chance survival (good thing Shadow had a backpack of prepared stuff just incase). Abyss growled but soon grinned evilly, knowing that without a bed, warmth, or shelter…the kids would soon give up and come crawling to them-and so Abyss disappeared into the darkness, waiting for that opportunity.
